Taste of Country’s Carrie Underwood Contest Winner Announced
Don’t look for Elizabeth Griffin of Valparaiso, Ind. later this month. The Carrie Underwood superfan will be busy taking in all the fun at the Bayou Country Superfest in Baton Rouge, La. on May 26 and 27, because she’s the winner of the Taste of Country flyaway, courtesy of Sony Nashville!
Griffin, 26, says she was very excited to win this trip for two to Baton Rouge. She’s a longtime fan of Underwood’s and says she has a lot of respect for her as a singer and as a person. “I think she has an amazing voice and I love that she is open about being a Christian and acts like it instead of just paying lip service,” she says.
While ‘Just a Dream’ is a favorite song of hers, so is ‘Ever Ever After’ from the ‘Enchanted’ soundtrack. “That is the song that my husband Zac and I walked down the aisle to after saying our vows,” Griffin says. When you meet her, Elizabeth, feel free to put in a plug for that song on her setlist, alongside the great music on her new album ‘Blown Away’!
For those of you who aren’t Elizabeth, don’t worry — there are still plenty of contests to enter to win, including a flyaway to see Lady Antebellum on their Own the Night World Tour this summer.
