RECIPE FOR TOILET DROPS

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup citric acid
  • 1/2  tsp vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide
  •  15 to 20 drops essential oil
It is not a complicated process, but it is a process, so hang in there. It isn't like making homemade cookies, but there are a few steps.
Mix together the baking soda and citric acid. In a separate dish/glass mix together the vinegar and the peroxide, then add a drop at a time to the baking soda mixture, do this slowly as it will be a mad mess if you try to add it all at once. It's time to add your personal touch, the essential oil. Get creative with your oil or play it straight up and simple. Lavender is always a favorite, but try adding a few drops of lemon to the mix.
Using a half of a teaspoon, scoop the mixture and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Spray them with equal parts of water and vinegar to create an outer crust. Let them dry for the rest of the day or even overnight. Then place them in a resealable jar and keep them in the bathroom. Drop one into the toilet after flushing and you will love the smell and the way that your toilet stays fresh in between cleanings.
