Another weekend, another fun adventure with the boy. This time we explored the drive along State Route 14 and the Poudre River Canyon. We found a nice trail in the Gateway Natural Areal right off the highway that worked out beautifully for us.

Not only did we find a cool trail to hit a short summit, we found a natural playground...actually two. A playground that had a bunch of cool things like a wooden bridge, a boat made out of a giant log and other "natural" stuff that was a lot of fun for the boy (and Dad) to play and explore on and then of course we had the ULTIMATE natural playground...the Cache Le Poudre River and the surrounding trails and mountains.

From downtown Windsor, it was  only about a 40 minute drive.
