UPDATE: The Reserve at Old Elk Will Not Be Closing

A Northern Colorado tasting room representative has contacted me to inform us that The Reserve at Old Elk in Old Town Fort Collins is not closing. According to sources found on Reddit and a call to the tasting room on November 7 stating that the Fort Collins tasting room would close permanently on Friday, November 15, were inaccurate according to the representative from Old Elk. Fans of the tasting room, much like myself, are surely to be happy to hear the good news.

I was really hoping that this news would not be true considering this place is one of my favorites to get an old fashioned cocktail. To verify, I decided to call this Northern Colorado spirits tasting room and they did indeed confirm they will be closing.

In a matter of just a few days, Fort Collins will lose another place to grab a tasty adult beverage as the Reserve at Old Elk will be closing for good. News of the closure was posted in the Fort Collins subreddit on Wednesday evening.

The Reserve at Old Elk is located at 253 Linden Street in Old Town Fort Collins. For years, my friends and family have gathered at the Reserve at Old Elk for a cocktail and to spend quality time together. Sadly, we can no longer do that again after November 15. When I called the Reserve at Old Elk this afternoon, I was informed that the tasting room will be closing up shop to patrons.

The reasons behind the closure were not identified. Still, we do know that if you are planning on visiting the Reserve at Old Elk before they close, you might not be able to order your favorite dish as there will not be any further food deliveries.

When I was on the phone, I did ask if Old Elk bourbon would still be available and distributed in Colorado. The answer to that question is yes, Old Elk will still be available and the only portion of Old Elk that will be affected at this time is the Reserve at Old Elk tasting room.
