9th Annual Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run Sunday December 21 [VIDEOS]
It's that time of year again when 100's of motorcycles gather for the Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run in Greeley. Load the toys and let's have some fun!
The weather forecast is the best we've seen all week. Temperatures should be in the low 50's from what we're seeing so bundle up, load the toys, and let's make this the best year ever.
All intersections along the entire route will be shut down for one continuous 13 mile parade ride; it's a ride like no other.
Entry fee is at least one brand new, unwrapped toy. Of course we'd like you to bring as many as possible but one per rider is the requirement. If you are one of the first 300 to show up, on a motorcycle, you will also get a FREE ride shirt and a 2014 Sleigh Riders bar patch. To qualify for the free stuff, each rider/passenger must have a toy, meaning if you come as a couple, and you both want a free shirt and patch, you must have at least two toys.
Toys will be collected at the end of the run, and for every toy you bring, you will also get a raffle ticket towards winning the prizes we give away at the after party at Ricky B's.
Bring one toy, you get one ticket. Bring three toys, you get three tickets and so on. As always, we have several thousand dollars in prizes to hand out including $100 gift cards from Greeley Harley Davidson, a weekend getaway at the Inn at Arrowhead, a years supply of household products from Sumables, $250 gift certificates to Nostalgic West Leather, Wing parties from Hooters, custom Patriotic/Biker art work from Colorado Custom Shop, a 'little pot' from A Little Pot from Colorado Pottery and of course, the signed John Elway football he signs specifically for the Sleigh Riders event.
There will also be the traditional $5 Sleigh Riders lunch available (Sloppy Joes this year) live music and of course one of the best rides of the year. If you don't ride but want to donate a toy, come on down to Ricky B's in Windsor and watch the bikes roll into town about 12:30 p.m. If you are driving, please park on one of the side streets and leave Main St. parking open for motorcycles.
