Kristin Glenn helped found 3Hopeful Hearts after losing her child in 1993. Today, the non-profit works to support local bereaved families through support groups, remembrance events, and more — showing these families that they don't have to cope with their grief alone.

"[We] started very small with three founders that believed that people who had experienced the loss of a child of any age, of any cause, really needed specialized grief support and companionship," said Glenn in our "Tuned In to NoCo" interview. "It's just this kind of incredible community that's been built over the years."

On Friday (Sept. 24), 3Hopeful Hearts is hosting a Music Benefit and Auction at the Mountain Vista Golf Course. Attendees will get to enjoy appetizers, drinks, live music, and a silent auction.

Tickets for the event can be purchased here. Proceeds from the benefit will help to continue the organization's mission of supporting Northern Colorado families who are struggling with the loss of a child.

On top of being there for grieving families, 3 Hopeful Hearts also assists those who are supporting these families.

"Grief is just so taboo in the first place. Many times people, well-meaning friends and family, don't know how to reach out," said Glenn. "I think becoming more comfortable with grief will do nothing but just make our community stronger."
