As we were getting ready to close out 2015, we wanted to recap the year and see what you loved...what you didn't like...and what you hated from the year of country music.

2015 was a great year for newcomers and the positives of the format greatly outweighed the negatives. But you definitely were adamant about the music that just didn't win you over from the first time you heard it.

So after compiling your votes from our blog earlier in the week, here is what you say are the five songs you want steamrolled out of 2015...starting with the one that got the most votes:

Luke Bryan - "Kick the Dust Up"

With 21% of the vote, Luke Bryan walks away with the #1 song that you want steamrolled out of the new year. When many people heard it for the first time, there definitely was a resounding "what is he doing".

Problem is, that opinion never went away and the song isn't heard on the K99 airwaves anymore.

However, Luke is also listed close to the top of our list of our listener's favorite artists of 2015. So it goes to show that even the best can have a dud every once in a while.

Sam Hunt - "Break Up in a Small Town"

Listen ---  I am going to say this before we get to the latest Sam Hunt song. I am a Sam Hunt FAN. His music is fun, yet different. Which I like. Country music keeps evolving and growing. So the argument that he "isn't country", doesn't stick with me. Because can anyone actually give the definition of country music. Not really. Plus when Garth Brooks came out, people had issues with him as well.

Problem with "Small Town" is that it is very pop-sounding. Which even for the "millenial country listener" has been a turn-off. And it is one of the most polarizing songs I have seen in quite a long time.

I'm waiting for "Raised on It" to be released. That IS a country song, and will definitely be a hit in 2016.

Little Big Town - "Girl Crush"

I'm going to have to admit...

    This one surprised me. ALOT.

With 14% of the vote, listeners want "Girl Crush" steamrolled out of 2015. REALLY?

This was one of the biggest songs of 2015, and one a few CMA Awards to prove it. But I can see it if maybe listeners are just burnt of the song. That could be a possibility.

Either way, "Girl Crush" solidified that LBT is still one of the best groups in the genre today and will continue to have a solid career ahead of them.
