The annual summer music festival shared on the Arise Facebook page that this year, the event would not be held at its previous location, Sunrise Ranch, a private property just west of Loveland and Berthoud.

'As you may have heard, Arise will no longer be held at Sunrise Ranch,' Arise shared on its Facebook. 'This has offered our team an opportunity to seek out a better location with elevated aesthetics, beautiful views, and room to grow our community, vendors, galleries, workshops and more - all while maintaining the positivity and good vibes we all have come to know-and-love!'

The festival combines electronic and jam band music, arts and yoga, and is typically held at the end of July through early August. While organizers are still searching for a new location, North Forty News reported that after requesting a permit for a spot near Buckeye (north of Fort Collins), the request was denied by Larimer County Sheriff's Office.

'The Larimer County Sheriff has 'denied' the application citing concerns about the distance, road design, strain on emergency services, distance for first responders, and the flow of traffic on the roads,' North Forty News reported.

Live for Live Music shared a quote from an executive production team member for the event, Luke Comer, who said that LCSO 'did, indeed, object to the Special Event Permit Application from Arise.'

'Arise will have a public hearing on this matter, with the Larimer County Commissioners; and they make the final decision,' Comer said. [Read more.]

Arise said on Facebook that it will make an 'official announcement' of its future on March 10.
