A female wolf-dog who escaped from the W.O.L.F. sanctuary in Rist Canyon last week has returned home after going missing for several days. Cree is an 8-year-old wolf-dog that jumped her 10-foot enclosure on April 7th. She returned to the sanctuary on her own late last week and was lured back into her enclosure with fresh meat. The animal escaped once more by climbing through a spot in a newly installed roof designed to keep her from jumping out of the enclosure. W.O.L.F. Sanctuary manager Steve Shaffer said he’s “cautiously optimistic” that Cree is home to stay.
