March in Colorado wouldn't be March in Colorado without the crazy swings in weather. While we all enjoyed nice, spring-like weather this past weekend, we are in for a drastic change in Northern Colorado in the upcoming days.

On average, March is the snowiest month in the state of Colorado. While we may not have had much snow this month, there is still plenty of time. Many news agencies have started to forecast what is in store for the Front Range.

How Much Snow Will Northern Colorado Get?

If you have been on social media at all for any given amount of time, you will know that some people tend to get a bit upset if the forecast isn't exactly how it said it would go. One thing to understand is that forecasts are merely predictions. No one can accurately predict exactly what will happen when it comes to Mother Nature.

Based on who you follow on social media, the forecast varies. However, one thing is for certain... Colorado will be getting snow this week. Colorado meteorologist, Kylie Bearse, is showing Fort Collins could get anywhere from one to fifteen inches of snow in the upcoming storm.

Colorado's favorite social media meteorologist, Denver & Front Range Weather is not putting an exact mark on how much snow we get when the storm comes. He is stating it is not an if, but when the storm hits Colorado.

One of my go-to places to look at upcoming weather is the College of Dupage. The College of DuPage Nexlab forecasting system's GFS model shows that nearly two feet of snow could fall in Fort Collins between this Wednesday afternoon and Sunday evening.

Will we get the higher or lower end of the snowfall totals? The only one who knows what will happen is Mother Nature and she ain't telling us what's going to happen. If you happen to be commuting, traveling, or even going out of the house on these days when the storm is supposed to impact the Front Range of Colorado, be sure to give yourself plenty of time going from point A to B and be safe on the roads.
