Susan’s Yearling Mak is on the Mend

Mak was gelded 2 weeks ago and I’m still feeling guilty. Poor little guy. We’ve spent a lot of time together in his recovery. He’s getting lots of feed, attention, rest, and lots of ME, I’ve even been reading aloud to him, 50 Shades of Grey, but he still seems a little down.
I tell him I am truly so sorry, but here’s why we did it. #1. We don’t want babies. #2. The mares have stopped kicking you, biting you and in general just beating you up. #3. You are free to just be a horse. No lone, private pen for you…that quiet stallion cave for napping, eating and …oops, again, I’m sorry !
