Reflections on the Past Year-Susan’s Blog
January 3, 2013 8:28 AM I spent most of 2012 getting hurt …and then recovering…and that made lots of time for reflection. Thinking back on the year I am delighted to still be experiencing new adventures with my mare Lily. We competed in our first English horse show at CSU’s Spring Fling in March…we did our best and got ribbons. In June Lil and I joined Alicia and her mare Maggie for our first overnight camping trip to Beaver Meadows. It was a beautiful get away but we discovered sleeping outside was just not our thing.Meanwhile the High Park Fire started
a few miles away.
In September we joined Cintia and her horse Banjo for ‘Jousting Games‘ and had a blast!
We got to ride in the Windsor Parade over Labor Day…
‘There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So, love the people who treat you right. Think good thoughts for the ones who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy.
Horses are such good company I fear they’ve spoiled me.
