Call me a weirdo but I love the imitation krab salad you almost always find at a buffet. I like to eat it on crackers on a buttery crescent and by the forkful. Recently I thought, shoot, I don't have to go to a buffet, I can make this at home... I did and it was a hit!



1 pkg of imitation krab meat, 1/2 cup shredded medium cheddar cheese, 4 stalks of celery (chopped or diced), 1/2 cup of mayonnaise (more if you like it a little wetter), the juice of one lemon, a pinch of black pepper and 1 tsp of garlic powder


Separate the krab sticks with your fingers into a medium bowl add the chopped celery, cheese, pepper and garlic powder. Fluff with fingers till combined and add the mayonnaise (taste and adjust lemon, mayo or seasoning's as needed for your liking).

Just this last weekend I got all wild with this salad and actually made pinwheels with it. I also made the traditional pinwheels and I think that there are still plenty of those left over in my sister-in-laws fridge. The Krab salad pinwheels were a huge hit! (just an idea) Get funky in the kitchen and have fun!
