Sunday we heard of a stabbing in Greeley, and just one day later, this. Maybe an even scary scene in Fort Collins, as a masked man reportedly entered the home of a 72-year-old in Fort Collins Monday afternoon, and stabbed the elderly man.

The masked intruder reportedly barged into a Fort Collins home in the 2900 block of Dunbar Avenue around 4:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon (July 7).

The 72-year-old male occupant in the home confronted the masked intruder, and was stabbed in the hand before the intruder fled the scene, police said. The man sustained a small cut on his right hand but did not require transportation to the hospital.

The suspect is described as being a thin male in his mid-30s approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. The case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Fort Collins investigators at (970) 221-6560.
