Finding a home or apartment in Fort Collins is a difficult task. I moved to a new home in Fort Collins in the past year and finding the right home was incredibly difficult.

I constantly was refreshing Zillow, Facebook Marketplace, Apartments.com, and Craigslist. The moment I thought I found a home within my price range, it would get taken before I even had a chance.

Thankfully, I found a nice home in North Fort Collins. It is perfect and I'm glad I was able to find it. Even if it took a long time.

There is a lack of housing in Fort Collins. However, more housing will likely be coming to The Choice City soon.

A developer is looking to add 175 new apartments to Fort Collins. The apartments are in a pretty sweet spot, too.

The apartments would be on Linden and Willow Street. You might be thinking what I am thinking. It is right by Ginger and Baker, Union Bar & Soda Fountain, and nearby everything in Downtown Fort Collins. Not to mention that the Cache La Poudre River is right around the corner.

Would the Apartments Be Worth It?

I love my house, but I would consider moving to an apartment based on location alone. The building itself would be 700 feet long and 130 feet wide and would have 175 units to rent.

There would be two separate buildings that are five stories high.

Additionally, Realty Capital, the land development firm has completed projects in the Western Slope. This would be their first major project in Northern Colorado.

They are aware of the housing shortage in the Choice City and want to combat the issue.
