Happy Birthday Greeley
The City of Greeley is turning 125 years old today and we didn’t get it anything yet. What do you buy a 125-year-old city for its birthday that seemingly already has everything? I know….. a sweater. I sure hope it fits. A celebration is planned for today!
On April 6, 1886, the town of Greeley’s Board of Trustees voted to incorporate Greeley as a city. Now, 125 years later, we will celebrate that occasion with an event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, April 6th) at the Greeley History Museum at 714 8th Street.
All area residents are invited to attend. Over 40 of Greeley’s past and present elected officials have agreed to gather with residents and other local officials to share stories about Greeley and toast to Greeley’s growth and progress with cake, punch and coffee.
Free parking is available on the south side of the Museum.
