A fast-moving grass fire broke out Monday morning in Cathy Fromme Prairie south of Fort Collins. The Poudre Fire Authority was called to the natural area just after 10 a.m. and had the blaze contained and under control with a half an hour. The fire scorched 3 to 4 acres of the natural area. While crews worked on the fire, Taft Hill Road was closed to traffic at West Trilby Road and Harmony Road. See more on this story at Coloradoan
