Country Strong DVD Out Today

Tuesday is new movie day in my house. New releases come out today and Country Strong is on top of my list. I never got a chance to see it in the theaters so I am very anxious to pick it up today. I have read great reviews on Tim McGraw’s performance. I had heard he based his appearance on Narvel Blackstock, who is Reba’s husband and I want to see how similar they are.

Movies about country music can be really good like George Strait in Pure Country, Sissy Spacek in Coal Miners Daughter or Joaquin Phoenix in Walk the Line and they can be less than great like Toby Keith in Broken Bridges or of course the stomach churning classic Rhinestone with Dolly Parton and Sylvester Stallone. I am hoping this one is more Coal Miner and less Rhinestone.

I also think Country Strong could be the name a new cologne from Tim McGraw. It would smell like Marlboro, silage and Jim Beam. See you in the video section today.
