A Colorado parolee jumped to his death from an 11-story apartment building in New York on Tuesday night.

Thirty-seven year old, Jason Jock, was being supervised in New York for the state of Colorado, in relation to an offense from 2000, in which he was convicted for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. As authorities in Syracuse were attempting to take Jock into custody due to a parole violation, the suspect was able to break free from officers and run toward an open window, where he then jumped from his 11th floor residence of the Skyline Apartments and fell to his death. Prior to getting away and jumping, Jock had made a call to a family member.
