I catch a little heat once in awhile on my stance on gun control but only because I think with my head and not my heart.  If you don't think what is happening in New York can't happen in Colorado, you are mistaken.

Even though there is no all out gun ban here in Colorado, yet, there is in New York.  People who honor our constitution and 2nd Amendment in New York are starting to leave the state, for good.  And those who want to ban guns should think twice because it's only a matter of time before you scream foul.

You can't just change parts of the Constitution you don't agree with. If the Westboro Baptist Church can do what they do BECAUSE of the Constitution who are you to tell me I can't own a 30 round magazine for my gun, or even OWN A GUN in New York for that matter!

Today, York Arms released this press release reassuring New York they stand behind the Constitution at all costs. What lawmakers in New York didn't realize was that they too have to follow they law. Never in a million years did Government agencies think this would affect them.  Well, guess what.  The law is the law and NO ONE is above it.

Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies. For “civilian” customers residing in New York: At your choice, we will: Complete your order and ship to a dealer of your choice outside of NY. Refund your payment in full. Hold your items here for up to 6 months, at no charge – if you are in the process of leaving NY and taking residence in another state. For LE/Govt customers in New York: Your orders have been cancelled - York Arms

We all agree that our police force should have all the tools they need to protect the citizens they are paid to protect from bad guys with guns. But the new law is the law. I would hope that many of these officers in New York and Government agencies would start taking a stand too. I think we will all agree most of the police force in New York probably does not agree with their new gun laws. If you agree with York Arms you can thank them on their Official FB Page.
