Woman Drops 112 Pounds After Making One Change To Her Diet
Drop the pop, and weight loss magic happens.
Sarah Turner, 27, shed 112 pounds and 8 dress sizes after ditching sugar in the form of Coca-Cola. Turner, of Kingstanding, Birmingham, would consume 4 liters of "regular" Coca-Cola per day.
"I was most definitely addicted to Coke. I could just drink it all day and not think about the effect it has on my body," she said. "I was always tired and had no energy to do anything, but now I can take my children out and run round in the park with them. ... I have loads of energy. I love going out walking anywhere, whereas before I never did. I also enjoy actually going clothes shopping - now I can fit in normal-size clothes."
Turner once weighed 245 pounds and is now down to 126 pounds as she follows the Slimming World weight-loss program.
So what's Coca-Cola's reaction to this?
"...All of our drinks can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet and lifestyle," a Coca-Cola Great Britain spokesman told Caters News, noting the options of Diet Coke and Coke Zero.
