
Windsor Playground Fire Suspect Arrested for Arson
In case you missed it, there was a significant fire at Covenant Park Playground in Windsor on May 2.
Covenant Park Playground Fire Forces Closure in Windsor
According to the city of Windsor, the damage was significant enough to be marked as unsafe. At the time of writing (today is March 6), Covenant Park Playground is still closed.

The city of Windsor says that the park will remain closed until further notice. The park is still being investigated at this time.
Who Is Joshua Davis? Suspect Arrested in Windsor Playground Fire
Denver 7 reports that a suspect has been taken into custody. The suspect's name is Joshua Davis. Davis is 25 years old.
Davis was booked into the Weld County Jail. At the time of writing Davis is still in custody for second-degree arson with damage more than $100.
How Much Jail Time Could Joshua Davis Face for Arson in Colorado?
Shouse Law Group says that the amount of time Davis could serve depends on the value of what was damaged in the incident. If the value is less than $300, then it is up to 10 days in jail. If it is more than $300, that goes up to 120. If the value is worth more than $1,000 it is up to 364 days.

This is not Davis' first crime. His first arrest was in 2022 for second-degree assault on a police offer, obstructing police, disorderly conduct, and theft.
Windsor Police: Fire Investigation Still Ongoing
In July 2024, he had similar charges. Most recently, Davis was booked in Weld County for a probation violation.
The city of Windsor emphasized that Davis is a suspect at this time. Here is what they said.
