What’s Up With All The Military Aircraft Flying Over Colorado?
I do not know a whole lot about military aircraft, but what I do know is that it seems as if there has been an uptick in sightings in Northern Colorado in the past few days. I do not consider myself a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday type of person by any means. So I am not worried about the aircraft, but I do feel like it is a bit out of the ordinary to see posts on numerous sightings since Saturday.
On Saturday, October 15, we witnessed an F16 while driving west in Weld County toward Interstate 25 at approximately 10 a.m. Like with any jet, we heard it before we saw it. The F16 was flying much faster than you would normally see at a civilian airshow.
Jason Parrott of Johnstown was able to capture photos of the F16 flying by:
A few hours later, we saw what appears to be a CH-47 Chinook helicopter fly over. We were unable to capture any photos as both of us left our phones inside. This is what a Chinook helicopter looks like.
On Tuesday morning, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Amanda Verser from Berthoud witnessed what appears to be four B2 Stealth Bomber Jets. Verser posted the photo to the Berthoud Community Facebook page asking "Anybody know what that's about?"
Nick Frost also shared a photo of the fleet of jets flying over Berthoud:
Another Berthoud Community Group member, Benjamin Tolman, was able to capture the video and a photo clear enough to see the outline of the fleet of jets.

The zoomed-in photo from Tolman gives a clear outline of the body of the jets.
If anyone has any idea as to why we have been seeing an uptick in military aircraft over the past few days flying over Northern Colorado, we would love to know.
