What Would it Be Like if Colorado Got Rid of Daylight Saving Time?
It's like a semi-annual event that everyone seems to hate. Every year, the clocks go forward and fall back with the spring and winter seasons in Colorado and most of the United States. Personally, I'm not too fond of the idea of changing the time on the clock. It not only throws my body out of whack, it messes up my entire routine for a couple of weeks. Every single time.
What would it be like if daylight saving time was no longer?
Could you imagine how much better life would be if you didn't have to change your entire routine twice a year? I think the idea of daylight saving time is a bit primitive and useless. Even health experts say that standard time should become a permanent fixture when the issue is brought up.
President-elect, Donald Trump, says that his administration would like to put an end, once and for all, to daylight saving time. Daylight saving time was first implemented in 1942 as a wartime measure to maximize the number of hours of daylight in the summer months. While you can change the clocks any which way you want, the sun is going to rise and set every day, no matter what time you set the clock.
Chris Bianchi of 9 News posted a tweet on X stating what it would look like in the summer months for Colorado if daylight saving time did, in fact, come to an end. The tweet states that the latest time the sun would set in Denver in June would be 7:34 p.m., compared to the current latest time of 8:34 p.m., and the earliest sunrise in June would be at 4:30 a.m., compared to the current time of 5:30 a.m.
I feel like having an hour less of daylight in the summer months would be less than ideal, but nothing compared to having to adjust to a time change twice a year. What do you think?
