The Weld County Department of Health & Environment reported 1,998 new COVID-19 cases this week, bringing the county's cumulative total of cases since the start of the pandemic to 16,745.

On Thursday (Dec. 10) alone, 167 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the county.

In addition, 14 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded in Weld County since December 1, bringing the county’s cumulative total of COVID-19 related deaths up to 145 since March.

As of Thursday, 281 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 across Weld County hospitals.

Weld County remains at the Level Red: Severe Risk phase, with a two-week cumulative incidence rate of 1,070.9 per 100,000 people and a two-week average positivity rate of 15.5%.
