Aurora Borealis Forecast Shows Widespread Visibility Across the U.S.
In a report from Forbes, the northern lights will most likely be visible to 28 states in the U.S, mostly those in the north.
This includes:

- Montana
- North Dakota
- Minnesota
- Michigan
- Vermont
- New Hampshire
- Maine
- Alaska
- South Dakota
- Iowa
- Wisconsin.
- New York
- Massachusetts
- Connecticut
- Rhode Island

Strong Geomagnetic Storm Could Push Aurora Farther South
Experts are predicting a Kp index of eight out of nine which means that a strong geomagnetic storm is in the works. Due to the nature of the event, there's a good chance that the lights will be spotted farther south than usual.

While we're all gearing up to see the night sky light up, forecasters are expecting that only a portion of the Centennial State will be able to get a glimpse.

Best Time and Viewing Tips for Aurora Borealis in Colorado
According to reports, the aurora borealis will be visible in Northern Colorado on Monday night. The prime counties for viewing will be Larimer and Weld.
The prime time to check out the lights will be 8:00 PM to midnight. Make sure to look North and try to get to a rural area or higher elevation, those are typically optimal spots to catch the views.
