We Now Know the Reason for the House Explosion in Firestone
The home that blew up in Firestone on April 18th was under investigation of cause as to why home exploded on April 18th in which two men, Mark Martinez and Joey Irwin III, died in the incident.
Investigators said today that the main cause of the explosion was an abandoned gas line that was never disconnected from a nearby well is to blame. Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection Disctrict chief, Ted Poszywak, said that the cut line allowed gas that was unrefined and odorless to get into the home through the sump pit and french drain.
