We are continuing to see more businesses close permanently in Colorado this year. Both local and chain businesses have shut down for largely economic reasons.

Many large businesses have shut down across the state, which includes:

JAX is closing their location in East Loveland, Del Taco has closed nearly all Colorado locations, and Kohl's will be putting up closure signs as well.

A staple for many households in Colorado has announced one closure.

Walmart in Aurora to Shut Down

A big reason for that is that Walmart has been selling more products online than ever. The company has also been making strides to be more efficient with its operations.

We are not entirely sure why this Colorado location was picked to close, but the Walmart location on E. Colfax Avenue in Aurora will shut down in 2025.

An exact date has not been announced other than the location will cease operations sometime within the next few months.

Newsweek reports that Walmart cut hundreds of jobs earlier this year. Right now, over 27,000 Colorado residents are employed by Walmart.

Don't Worry: Plenty of Other Stores in Aurora

There are still plenty of Walmart locations in Colorado and Aurora. There will still be five Walmart locations, which include the Walmart Neighborhood Markets.

The only Walmart location that is shutting down is on E. Colfax Avenue. Walmart will still have over 100 locations across Colorado.
