I don't know about you, but when I think Colorado, I think of a relatively clean state.
People here care a whole lot about the natural beauty of the area and the environment as a whole. However, a few cities in the Centennial State were named some of the dirtiest in the country.
Yikes!

Colorado Avoids the Top 25 Dirtiest Cities in America
Here's the good news...
There was no Colorado city that cracked the top 25 list this year. The majority of the "dirtiest" cities were located in California, with San Bernadino coming in first place overall.

Other states that received dishonorable mentions include Texas, Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.

How Is the “Dirtiest City” in the U.S. Determined?
The methodology that Lawnstarter used involved looking at four key factors: pollution, inadequate living conditions, inadequate waste infrastructure, and overall resident dissatisfaction.
Using this model, experts were able to determine the top 303 dirtiest cities, with number 1 being the filthiest and 303 being the cleanest of the batch.

Now, you're probably breathing a sigh of relief because Colorado isn't this high up on the list. The Centennial State does crack the top 100 overall twice.
Aurora Ranked 31st Dirtiest City in the U.S.
Sitting at 31 on this ranking of the dirtiest cities in America is Aurora.

With a 40.22 score overall, the third largest city in Colorado ranks just three spots above Chicago!
Aurora ranks 39th for pollution, 62nd for inadequate waste infrastructure, and 65th for resident dissatisfaction.
The good news about Aurora's numbers is that it seems to have pretty decent living conditions. When it comes to the ranking for "inadequate living conditions," this Colorado city ranks 257 overall.
Coming in at 100 on this list is the city of Pueblo.
