If you're planning to visit Rocky Mountain National Park or Trail Ridge Road this weekend, expect traffic — like, more than usual.

Rocky Mountain National Park is the third-most visited national park in the country, and it's summer so of course you're going to experience major weekend traffic.

However, this weekend (Saturday, August 17), law enforcement will be conducting safety checkpoints in Rocky Mountain National Park, Sky-Hi News reported. Vehicles may be stopped and checked for traffic and safety violations.

Additionally, construction began this week on Trail Ridge Road near Estes Park, according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald. Friday (August 16), and continuing the following week, traffic will be down to just one lane in some areas.

Good thing the Bustang is coming to cut down on cars.
