U.S. Marshal: Fugitive on Most Wanted List May Be in Colorado
A fugitive from Mississippi accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl might be hiding in Colorado.
The U.S. Marshal's office have moved 42-year-old Jacob Scott on to the Top 15 Most Wanted List. Scott is wanted out of Mississippi for sexual battery, touching a child for lustful purposes and exploitation of a child. He's also wanted on charges of fleeing to avoid prosecution.
Scott is on the run from the Jackson Country Sheriff's Office for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl who then became pregnant. He got out on bond in July and shortly thereafter, investigators found his boat with a suicide note floating off the Alabama coastline. Scott was nowhere to be found.
U.S. Marshals Service Director Donald Washington said this in a press release: “Jacob Scott stands accused of unspeakable crimes against a child. The Marshals will leave no stone unturned until we bring him to justice.”
Authorities describe Scott as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 225 pounds. He has blue eyes, brown hair and a tattoo of a machete knife, scorpion and a compass.
Authorities say that he is very dangerous and should not be approached.
If you see him, call 911.
