Two Loveland Teens Ejected From Car After Crash
Two Loveland teams and members of the Thompson Valley High School Volleyball team were ejected from their car after a crash on Eisenhower Boulevard on Monday Night.
According to the Loveland Reporter Herald and Tom Hacker, spokesman for the Loveland Police Department, two girls (age 15 and 16) were traveling Eastbound on Eisenhower Boulevard in a 2002 Chevy Tahoe when the driver lost control around Langston Lane, swerved across the eastbound lanes, off the road and down an embankment around 7:20 p.m.
The car rolled and both girls were ejected from the car with one of them being trapped underneath the vehicle. Neither girl was wearing a seat belt.
Both girls were members of the Thompson Valley High School Volleyball team headed home from practice. They were both transported to Medical Center of the Rockies with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say drugs and alcohol were NOT involved in the crash, but think speed was a factor for the weather conditions. Snow had been falling for several hours in Loveland by the time the crash occurred.
