Two Colorado Counties Won’t Issue Citations for Not Wearing Masks
Both Weld and El Paso Counties say they will not be issuing citations for mask violations. The decisions by the counties come after Colorado Governor, Jared Polis, issued a statewide mask order on Thursday. The mask order requires people over the age of 10 to wear a mask in public indoor spaces.
Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams states that his deputies will not be issuing citations for those who are violating the mask mandate which went into effect on July 17. Reams said that the Weld County Sherrif's Office was overwhelmed with questions after the announcement of the mask mandate by Colorado's Governor on Thursday.
