Two Alarm Fire Ignites at Lazydays RV in Johnstown
Early Tuesday morning was an intense one for the Front Range Fire Rescue in Northern Colorado. Fire crews were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm in Johnstown's Lazydays RV, located at 4777 Marketplace Drive.
Front Range Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene and discovered a fire inside of the building and called for additional units to assist in battling the blaze. At this time, this is when the fire was elevated to a two-alarm fire.
Fire departments from all over the area came into Lazydays RV to help assist in fighting the fire. Those departments included Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Windsor Severance Fire Rescue, Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, Mountain View Fire Rescue, Greeley Fire Department, and Thompson Valley EMS was on standby in case of a medical emergency.
Firefighters located the fire in an RV trailer inside the Lazydays RV service bay. Other RVs in the service bays were damaged by heat and smoke. Front Range Fire Rescue says that the fire was under control this morning, however, there will be the need for extensive ventilation operations.
Front Range Fire Rescue updated the situation on Tuesday morning at approximately 7:10 a.m. stating all units have left Lazydays RV and the investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. No injuries occurred to firefighting crews and no one was inside of the Johnstown Lazydays RV at the time of the fire. See the photos that were taken at Lazydays RV below:
