My cousin, Donald Boismier, did some research on our family history and it turns out my ancestors were Pilgrims. They were passengers from London to America on the Mayflower in July of 1620. I can trace my mother's lineage back to John Alden and Priscilla Mullins, who were passengers on that famous voyage.

John Alden is said to be the first passenger of The Mayflower to set foot on Plymouth Rock in 1620. He was a ship-carpenter by trade and a cooper for The Mayflower. He was also one of the founders of the Plymouth Colony and the seventh signer of the Mayflower Compact.
