Time is Running Out on a Winning $500k Colorado Lottery Ticket
Every now and then, my wife and I like to purchase a couple of lottery tickets. You never know when you may hit the jackpot. While we only play on the occasion of really big jackpots, many play weekly.
If you are someone who likes to play often and purchased a ticket in Colorado in March, you might want to take a look at your old tickets as there was a $500k winning ticket sold and no one has claimed it yet.
According to 9 News, the Powerball ticket worth half a million dollars was sold at a King Soopers in Arvada at 8301 Wadsworth Boulevard on March 23, 2024. The person who bought the ticket better hurry up and claim the winnings.
Why such urgency? Because winners only have 180 days to claim the prize and that deadline is coming up fast. The owner of the winning ticket can claim the prize at the Colorado Lottery Claims Center, online, or through mail. So if you happened to purchase a Powerball ticket from the Arvada King Soopers in March and saved your Powerball ticket, do yourself a favor and look through your old tickets as you could be the winner of $500,000.

If no one comes forward as the winner, the prize money from the Powerball lottery will go to the lottery proceeds partners that support Colorado's parks, recreations, open spaces, and wildlife preservation projects.
