Throwback: Faith Hill, Tim McGraw Golfed in Windsor 20 Years Ago

Country power couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were topping the hot country charts two decades ago.

Hill and McGraw also took some of the first swings on at a new Windsor golf course back in July 1999.

The duo played one of the first rounds at Pelican Lakes Golf Club while they were in town for Greeley Stampede concerts.

The course at 1620 Pelican Lakes Pt. also hosted a large grand opening tournament on July 12. Former Denver Broncos Super Bowl-winning head coach Mike Shanahan hit off the ceremonial tee shot down the first fairway.

Now 20 years later, Pelican Lakes has become one of the area's premier courses. The course hosts regular tournaments for both members and non-members.
