Young Woman Dies in Thornton Car Crash Over the Weekend
Over the weekend, a young woman died while driving through Thornton.
According to reports, the woman involved in the crash was only 20-years-old.

Thornton Police Confirm Two-Vehicle Crash on East 84th Avenue
Officials from the Thornton Police department confirmed that on Saturday, October 4th a two way vehicle crash took place at around 7:45 that morning.

Details of the Collision Involving I-25 Exit
A 51-year-old man was driving a Jeep east on East 84th Avenue while the 20-year-old woman was exiting exiting I-25 in her Toyota sedan. Reports say that she was trying to turn west onto East 84th Avenue when the vehicles collided.
First Responders and Hospitalization
Once first responders arrived on the scene, the unnamed woman was taken to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, she died from the injuries she sustained from the crash, reports confirm.
The other driver was unharmed and remained on the scene, according to officials.
Cause of the Thornton Crash Under Investigation
Law enforcement is currently investigating what exactly caused the crash. They have not confirmed whether either of the drivers were distracted, intoxicated, or some sort of mechanical failure.

Identities of Those Involved
The identity of both of the individuals involved in this horrific incident have not been revealed to the public yet.
Officials from the Adams County Coroner’s Office did confirm that the identity of the deceased young woman will be released once she's been identified and her next of kin have been notified.
