The World’s Greatest Traffic Jam Returns To Colorado This Summer
The world's greatest traffic jam - one that you'll actually want to be a part of - is making its return to Colorado this summer.
Like many things over the course of the last two years, one of Colorado's most unique, exciting annual events had been temporarily called off due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; this summer, however, it's back -
Tube To Work Day is making its return to Boulder, CO this July.
About Tube To Work Day
According to the event's official website, Tube To Work Day is "the world's greatest traffic jam".
"A morning party in the creek where no costume is too wild for the office board meeting later that day. We redefine casual Friday as you float your way down the business highway of joy".
How It Works: Every year, hundreds of people take to Boulder Creek with an inner tube in tow (important note: you must bring your own tube + protective equipment to this event), ready to take to the freezing water and make the incredibly epic trip from Eben G. Fine Park to their various places of employment - and of course, everyone comes dressed accordingly... in business casual attire.
This year, Boulder's Tube To Work Day (TTWD) is tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 15 with a backup date of July 29, in case of high water conditions.
Tube To Work Day - New For 2022
TTWD organizers announced that they'd be placing a limit on how many participants can sign up to tube, capping this summer's event at 800 participants.
In addition, all participants will now be required to pay a $20 registration fee to help cover new insurance and medical requirements.
As per the event's registration website, all participants are required to wear a helmet, closed-toe shoes, and a lifejacket... as far as bringing your laptop goes, that decision's entirely up to you.
