Jake Owen and Charlie Worsham played for a full house Friday night at the Greeley Stampede. Charlie also talked to Charley Barnes on the air. We have lots of pictures.
One of my favorite people in our business is Charlie Worsham. Charlie is one of the most kind and talented people I have met in all my years in radio. Charlie came in the studio and played live for the 28 Hours of Hope a year ago and we became good friends and keep in touch.
The Greeley Stampede has added two opening acts to their 2014 concert lineup. Charlie Worsham will open for Jake Owen on June 27th and Damsel returns to the Stampede to open for Martina McBride on the 4th of July.
I have to admit to being a big Charlie Worsham fan. His debut CD "Rubberband" is one of my favorite CD's of the last year and he has become a good friend of the Good Morning Guys. He even came into the studio live to sing for us during last years 28 Hours of Hope. Charlie had a big hit with his debut single "Could It Be" and his new song "Want Me Too" is set to be a big smash as well.
Katy Perry's 'Roar' is one of the biggest (and catchiest) pop singles of the year. Up-and-coming country star Charlie Worsham has taken the pop track and given it a country twist as part of his Cover Challenge.
Charlie Worsham's debut album is about as splashy as a summer drought -- but that's not his style. The Mississippi-born instrumentalist puts his schooling to work on 'Rubberband,' an album that will compete for the best debut effort of 2013.
