Due to popular demand, the Greeley Stampede is bringing the community a series of Stick Horse Rodeos. Kids between the ages of 3 and 6 years old will compete in their very own mini rodeos complete with stick horses and a pint-sized bucking chute. Stick Horse Rodeos are free events for our community, but are limited to the first 20 participants that sign up on-site prior to each performance. Come to one rodeo or join us at all three locations!

Stick Horse Series Schedule and Locations:

  • Saturday, April 15th @ 12:00pm at Weld County Garage’s Burnouts & Friends Event, Weld County Garage - 2699 47th Ave Greeley, CO
  • Saturday, May 6th @ 12:00pm & 1:30pm at the Greeley Mall, Greeley, CO
  • Sunday, May 21st @ 11:00am & 1:00pm at Kites in the Park, Spring Canyon Community Park – 3156 S Overland Trail Fort Collins, CO

Join the Greeley Stampede mascots, Bucky and Bertha, as well as local rodeo queens to cheer on the little buckaroos. Featured events include stick horse barrel racing, stick horse bronc riding, and stick bull riding. Thanks to the series sponsors, Justin Boots and Meadow Gold, all participants earn both a ribbon and free ice cream as well as have the chance to win a pair of Justin Boots.

Mutton Bustin

Kids that participate in any of the Stick Horse Rodeo performances also have a chance to compete in Justin Boots Mutton Bustin during one of the Greeley Stampede's PRCA Rodeos. Two lucky (eligible) Mutton Busters will be selected out of each performance to Mutton Bust during one of the six PRCA rodeos at the Greeley Stampede this summer. The remaining Justin Boots Mutton Bustin slots will be filled through our lottery style drawing. Entries will be available in all Greeley and Eaton Agfinity gas stations and Greeley King Soopers beginning April 1st as well as Greeley and Fort Collins Boot Barn locations.
