Six Military Heroes Have Given Their All – Week 46 Honor Post
Sadly, the loss of life continues in 'Operation Enduring Freedom.' Since last Monday’s post, we have brought home two (2) deployed soldiers and four (4) explosive ordinance disposal technicians who were killed in a tragic accident last week. The last Marine accident like this was over 20 years ago.

Staff Sgt. Richard L. Vazquez - Age 28 from Seguin, Texas. Killed In Action 13 November in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked with an improvised explosive device while on dismounted patrol in Panjwai, Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. Richard L. Vazquez was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Eglin Air Force Base, FL.
Staff Sgt. Mathew R. Marsh
Staff Sgt. Mathew R. Marsh - Age 28 from Long Beach, CA. Marsh died 13 November around 1120 hours during a firing range maintenance operation at Camp Pendleton. The accident is under investigation.
