Fort Bragg has lost another warrior. Sgt. 1st Class Matthew I. Leggett, United States Army, has given his all.
Sgt. 1st Class Matthew I. Leggett, age 39 from Ruskin, Florida, was Killed In Action on 20 August in Kabul, Afghanistan. He served three combat tours and was the recipient of numerous awards and decorations, including a Bronze Star with one oak leaf cluster and a Purple Heart for wounds sustained in combat.
Sgt. 1st Class Matthew I. Leggett was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
