Sexually Violent Predator Living In Longmont, City Officials Say
Officials from the City of Longmont are warning the community that a man who meets the criteria of a sexually violent predator is now living within city limits.
As per a public notice from the City of Longmont Department of Safety via Facebook, a man designated by the courts as a sexually violent predator is currently living at the Longmont Community Treatment Center.
Longmont Police have been informed that Nathanal David Allan Lobato is currently residing at 236 Main St. in Longmont, as per the Facebook post.
Police said Lobato has a prior conviction requiring him to register as a Sexually Violent Predator:
- Boulder County, 2017 – Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child, Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Induce/Entice
A sexual offender is designated as a sexually violent predator when the courts deem them to be a high risk for re-offending. According to Longmont police, there are currently 306 registered sex offenders in Longmont.
Among those, six individuals are classified as sexually violent predators.
State law requires police departments to publicly share information about parties determined to be sexually violent predators.
To report criminal or suspicious activity by this or any other person, residents can call 911 or the Longmont Police Department non-emergency line at 303-651-8501.
Additionally, officials noted that vigilantism or use of this information to harass, threaten, or intimidate this offender is criminal behavior and will not be tolerated.
