Who doesn't love trying a new restaurant? Colorado is home to a lot of great local cuisine, but one Denver restaurant is turning heads because it just received some amazing recognition.

Tuan Nguyen and Longmont native Anna Nguyen started working on their restaurant, Sắp Sửa, a non-traditional Vietnamese restaurant, in 2020. According to 5280, the pair began curating dishes in 2020 and then opened the restaurant in June 2023.

Since Sắp Sửa opened, the restaurant has had nothing but incredibly positive reviews locally. The Vietnamese restaurant is now gaining national attention.

Not only does Sắp Sửa have amazing non-traditional Vietnamese food, but it also opened The Bakehouse last November.

Sắp Sửa: Colorado's Best New Spot

Esquire just named their 50 Best New Restaurants in America for 2023, and you probably guessed it, Sắp Sửa is Esquire's pick for Colorado.

Esquire talks about how the cuisine is inspired by both chef's parents. When I look at reviews and what people have said, each dish at Sắp Sửa is personal for the chefs. It is curated with a lot of thought, love, and nostalgia.

I can not wait to try it. Once I do, I will be sure to write my thoughts. Make sure to download the app so you can stay up-to-date.

Wonderful new restaurant that I finally had the honor of trying. Lots of plates great for sharing (I love being able to try multiple dishes). Their incorporation of traditional Vietnamese (and French) flavors into inventive preparations is phenomenal and every dish hit the mark. - Keenan Alexander
