Your best friend is ready for a party, and Loveland is throwing one for them. Whether you have a beagle, a pug, a poodle, or golden retriever, bring them out.

Honestly, it's going to be interesting to see exactly how many dog breeds show up to this park-party. A betting man might take the over on an 'over-under' bet if the point was set at 12. More than 12 breeds in one setting one day? Very possible.

Imagine a day where you take your dog out to not only mingle with other dogs but for them and you to learn about perhaps new ways to get your dog some exercise. How about dog parkour? Just the sound of that makes me want to show up with my camera.

The City of Loveland is hosting the Dog Day of Summer, on National Dog Day, at Namaqua Park on the far west side of town. This a neat little park, with the Big Thompson River running along side of. It's great for picnics, and for inviting everybody and their leashed, and well-mannered dog out for a two-hour outing.

It's not all about your dog, though. They'll have food trucks at the park for you and your dog, both. I think I'm going to rent my brother's dog on this day, it sounds like a great day.
