I love to travel, and my preferred method is always flying. Sure, I love a good road trip now and then, but there is no better way to get where you are going fast than by plane.

There is one thing that tends to get under my skin when I fly, however. Much like the shoppers at Costco, travelers in an airport seem to lose all common sense the moment they get through the security line at Denver International Airport.

Airport Behavior Meltdown at Denver International

People randomly stopping in the middle of the walkways, talking on their phone with the speaker on, and I have even seen people try to take up as many seats as they possibly could by lying over the armrests. Yes, I have seen that happen.

Most people have a keen awareness of their behavior and keep to themselves, and those who are just plain rude are in the minority, but there are still many of them who venture to the airport every day.

Are Coloradans Rude Travelers?

It kind of makes you wonder, how bad are most Coloradans' travel behaviors as soon as they hit the terminals at Denver International Airport? You don't have to wonder any longer. Solitaire Bliss recently put out a list of the naughtiest travel habits by state, accompanied by a ranking, and you would be happy to know us Coloradans are, for the most part, very pleasant travelers.

Colorado travelers are among the least naughty in the nation. Ranking at 34th place on the naughty travelers by state, Colorado hit a 67.16 out of 100. Southern hospitality isn't a thing in the state of Mississippi when it comes to travel, as they have ranked the overall naughtiest state in the nation.

Colorado travelers are the worst at this one thing when it comes to airport etiquette, and that is putting bags on seats at the terminal, making it impossible for anyone to sit next to them. I will admit, I have done this more than my fair share; however, if there are not many seats available, I will certainly move my bag off the seat next to me.
