Well if you wanted to get rid of some home items, but didn't know where to take it. Look no further than the recycling event at the City’s Timberline Recycling Center. This event is happening Saturday, June 15, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

According to a city of Fort Collins press release, residents can bring used mattresses, box springs, fire extinguishers and documents for shredding (at a secure offsite facility).

This recycling event is held in the Hard-to-Recycle Yard at the Timberline Recycling Center, 1903 South Timberline Road.

The entrance fee is $5 per vehicle and pricing to recycle certain items is below according to a city of Fort Collins press release.

Items Accepted:

  • Beds: $13 per mattress or box spring
  • Shreds: Bring documents to be shredded (at a secure off-site facility). $5 per bankers box/file box (max 35 lbs). When possible, remove non-paper notebooks, 3-ring binders, binder clips etc.
  • Fire Extinguishers: No additional cost beyond the $5 entry fee

The Timberline Recycling Center will be take regular business during the event as well to accept, batteries, paint, yard debris, and various recyclable materials.
