1 in 30 Million Rare Orange Lobster Shows up at Colorado Restaurant
One of the few remaining Colorado Red Lobster locations had quite the surprise when opening the shipment of lobsters when they saw an ultra-rare orange lobster in the order.
According to KRDO, the rare orange lobster was supposed to be filtered out before being shipped to the restaurant in Pueblo, Colorado. Dishwasher, Jose Romero, was unpacking the lobster shipment and saw something out of the ordinary.
I have been at Red Lobster for 12 years, I always unpack the live lobster shipments, and I have never seen an Orange Lobster! I noticed it right away, how different it was, and I thought, oh my goodness, I'd better get him in the tank and find my managers!
Romero told KRDO. The rare lobster has been named Crush in honor of the Orange Crush defense of the Denver Broncos. Crush, the orange lobster will not be eaten by a hungry seafood lover in Pueblo. The crustacean will soon have a new home at the Denver Aquarium for all to see.
