Defensive tackle Scott Patchan had an offer to play from every Division I conference when the former University of Miami player entered the transfer portal.

Patchan ultimately settled on on the CSU Rams of the Mountain West, which he calls a "match made in heaven."

Patchan's older brother had played under Rams coach Steve Addazio at Boston College and CSU had the proper graduate program he desired.

COVID shortened the Rams 2020 season to just four games, but Patchan shined with a team-high 5.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss. He'll get another season of eligibility in 2021 because of the pandemic.

Patchan suffered two season-ending knee injuries and once briefly switched to play tight end as a Miami Hurricane. He made 33 tackles, including six for loss and 2.5 for sacks in his final season with Miami.

Patchan sat down for an interview for the latest Ram episode. He discussed his transfer to CSU and favorite Brazilian Steakhouses across the country.
